We are proud to celebrate the career of our esteemed colleague, Kathy Kelly.
Kathy has been part of our Daymark team for almost a decade, serving as Vice President, Principal Consultant, a practice area lead, and a board member. She has provided strategic guidance to clients navigating the complex and changing energy industry landscape as a consultant as well as an electric utility employee. During her career, Kathy has advanced energy policy, utility planning, energy restructuring, and regulatory engagement through her strategic thinking and collaborative approach. Kathy has led projects across the U.S and Canada focused on energy procurement, rate design, new technologies, business model and business process changes, regulatory policy shifts, and balanced resource economics and planning. She has also played a critical role in public policy and regulatory proceedings, appearing before state and provincial commissions. Over the years she has become a valued partner to utilities, regulators, and large customers navigating transitions and uncertainties.
Kathy’s thoughtful leadership, analytical rigor, and policy fluency have helped shape power sector transformation.
“Kathy is the best. Since day one, I have been able to depend on her calm insight. I am blessed to have had the opportunity to work with her this past decade and wish her a relaxing retirement (although, knowing Kathy, I doubt she will truly relax). In any event, I do hope she spends lots of time on the boat with a cold one.” – Marc Montalvo, President and CEO
“Kathy’s been a brilliant mentor to me, and to many colleagues and clients over the years. It’s been a great privilege to work with her, learn from her, and collaborate with her – something I hope I can pay forward,” shared Chrissy Maddalo, Marketing and Business Development Director. “Her commitment to our team is exemplary and the trust clients place in her advice is well-earned.”
“Kathy has been a model of strong leadership and dedication to client service since she joined Daymark. We have been fortunate to benefit from her wisdom and tenacity, and her example has guided many of us in our own energy careers.” said Dan Koehler, V.P. and Principal Consultant.
“Kathy has dedicated her career to providing top-quality advice and analysis for her clients. Even more important, Kathy has been an inspiration in the way that she devotes herself to training and mentoring younger colleagues. I am lucky to have worked with her for so many years - she’ll be sorely missed, but we wish her the best in retirement!” said Jeff Bower, Principal Consultant and regulatory economics practice area lead.
Thank you, Kathy, for your dedication and vision – we wish you the very best in your adventures ahead!
