Senior Project Manager

Daymark Energy Advisors is looking to hire a Senior Project Manager who will be responsible to successfully manage strategic client projects through project life-cycles. The Senior Project Manager will lead cross-functional teams, provide subject matter expertise in project management, and optimized project execution.

The Senior Project Manager is the first dedicated project management specialist for Daymark, intended to help elevate our capacity and add to our consultant-led project management model. This new role will contribute to the organization’s overall success by effectively managing complex projects and modeling strong project management skills.  The Senior Project Manager will be an important leader within our organization. Daymark serves a diverse client base across a matrixed organization structure. We manage large client engagements programmatically.

Responsibilities include:

  • Provide clear direction to team members to ensure that the scope and project approach are fully understood by all stakeholders.

  • Structure and manage execution of projects by developing work plans, gathering relevant data, coordinating analytical efforts among Daymark team members, and developing final deliverables.

  • Work with project sponsors and internal team members to develop and roll-out action plans and to report on status of projects from initiation to implementation.

  • Manage project resources and client interactions to ensure client outcomes are delivered and maximum business benefits are achieved.

  • Monitor and communicate progress of project delivery in terms of cost, revenue forecast, time schedule, and scope.

  • Identify and track key project milestones. Resolve and elevate issues or obstacles that may arise to ensure timely delivery of client work product in line with Daymark quality standards.

  • Establish and maintain strong working relationships across teams, within the organization, and with clients and identify and share best practices in analyses and methodologies with peers and project team members.

  • Facilitate post implementation reviews and ensure "lessons learned" are acted upon and implemented.

 

Qualifications:

  • Exceptional organizational skills

  • Experience implementing a variety of complex projects with demonstrated success seeing them through to delivery.

  • Strong problem-solving and negotiation skills

  • Strong communication skills, written and verbal.

  • Strong operational skills-ability to maintain clear notes, keep organized records, and manage time.

  • Knowledge of Project Management programs and software tools.

  • Able to develop an understanding of the energy industry and organizational environment and its impact on project management.
