Marketing & Communications Manager

Daymark Energy Advisors is a successful, growing consultancy.

We are building our team to support clients’ growing needs and are looking for a marketing and communications professional to help lead Daymark’s next chapter of growth. This role will work closely with our sales team, consulting operations and practice area leadership to implement marketing and communications initiatives that build awareness and differentiate Daymark’s dynamic team of analysts, consultants, and trusted advisors who provide advice and analysis to clients across the U.S. and Canada. Salary range for this position is $75,000 - $105,000 depending upon experience and qualifications.

Role:

The Marketing & Communications Manager will report to Daymark’s Head of Operations. This is a hands-on role that engages across the organization to manage marketing and communications plans aimed at building the firm's brand and long-term client relationships. It is focused on clear communication of Daymark’s value-proposition, developing quality bidding materials, web posts, and other written materials. 

 

Primary responsibilities include:

  • Develop and implement an annual marketing plan that increases brand awareness and aligns marketing efforts with the business development strategy.

  • Brand Management: Ensure consistent messaging and communication across all platforms and collateral.

  • Marketing leadership: Oversee creation of high-value marketing content and materials to showcase the firm's expertise and attract clients to build brand awareness and drive lead generation. Including develop and implement website and LinkedIn content.

  • Work closely with account management, business development, and sales team to support the development and creation of compelling proposals and responses to Requests for Proposals (RFP) tailored to client needs. 

  • Coordinate industry engagement (e.g., speaking opportunities, conference attendance, corporate memberships and sponsorships).

  • Manage budget and resources to maximize impact of marketing initiatives.

  • Execute the bid/no-bid decision making process to help build a strong proposal pipeline.

  • Reporting & Data Analysis: Maintain CRM data and sales and proposals dashboards. Monitor and report on consulting operations and marketing operations KPIs including lead-to-sales pipeline activity to inform revenue forecasts for company leadership.

  • Contribute to proposals and project delivery by providing communications expertise on brand and alignment with standards for deliverables (e.g., reports, presentations, data visualizations, infographics, messaging).

  • Manage internal communications in coordination with firm leadership.

 

Required skills and qualifications:

  • Knowledge of the power industry in North America. 

  • A hands-on approach with a can-do attitude along with an overriding curiosity and desire to help others succeed in a team environment. 

  • Progressive experience in marketing and communications, preferably within a consulting or professional services environment.

  • Strategic perspective and leadership mindset with the ability to work independently and contribute impact across the organization. 

  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and influence decision-making processes. 

  • Ability to communicate at all levels in the organization, both verbal and written, to engage with clients and team members, write proposals, make presentations, and support delivery of analysis and advice.

  • Strong network ability and willingness to attend industry events to promote the brand.

  • Expertise using CRM software and Microsoft Office tools, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

  • College degree.
