Southwest Louisiana Electric Membership Corporation, Pointe Coupee Electric Membership Corporation and Concordia Electric Cooperative Inc. have issued a Request for Proposals (RFP) from providers of capacity and energy resources for power supply solutions. Collectively, these cooperatives’ requirements amount to an approximate annual peak demand of 925 MW (sum of the non-coincident peak demands) and 2,900,000 MWh of annual energy.

The cooperatives intend to enter into contracts that will enable them to meet their ongoing energy services and capacity needs beginning April 1, 2025, along with associated transmission, ancillary services, energy management services, and to accommodate energy sales and demand growth in subsequent years of the contract period proposed and accepted.  The cooperatives are jointly issuing this RFP, but are anticipating executing separate and independent contracts for services.

The RFP can be found online at https://lacoopsrfp.daymarkea.com.  The RFP was initially posted on December 23, 2020. The cooperatives recently extended the deadline for completion of non-disclosure agreements to January 29, 2021. The final deadline for proposals remains February 26, 2021.

Any and all questions related to this RFP should be submitted to our advisor and solicitation manager at LACoopsRFP@daymarkea.com.
